Where Can You Hear 'The Wiz Live's "We Got It"?

I don't know about you, but the moment that NBC's presentation of The Wiz Live! wrapped up last night, the foremost thought it my mind was: where can I listen to "We Got It?" Well actually, probably the foremost thought was trying to regain consciousness after Uzo Aduba's heart-stopping entrance, but right behind it was wondering about the original song. Unlike the rest of the songs that were included in the live performance, which were from the original Broadway version of The Wiz, "We Got It" was written especially for this televised production by Harvey Mason Jr., Stephen Oremus, and then Ne-Yo and Elijah Kelley, who played the Tin Man and the Scarecrow, respectively. It was catchy and fit the theme, and had a message we all loved, so the real question is — when and where can we hear it again?

Well, the bad news is you have to wait for it, because it hasn't been released yet. But the good news is you don't have to wait long! "We Got It" will be released on The Wiz Live! soundtrack with the rest of the songs from the cast. The digital version will be released on iTunes (and Spotify too, fingers crossed!) on Dec. 11. And the CD version will be released on Dec. 18, in case you're one of those fancies who still has a way to play actual physical music. It might sound like a long way away, but it's just over a week after the Dec. 3 air date of the show itself.

So guys, when it comes to waiting patiently for this song to be available for all our listening needs — you know what I'm going to say, here — we got this!
