Ryan Gosling
This is not a joke. We are one pregnancy away from losing Ryan Gosling every day of our lives: "I don't want to act much longer... I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies," Gosling told The A.V. Club a few years ago. "When someone comes along I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. Michelle Williams
Although Williams told press that making the heartbreaking Blue Valentine rekindled her love for acting, she's had more than one bout of boredom with her craft. Like her co-star Gosling, Michelle also dreams of domestic simplicity: "I often dream of quitting acting. Walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people's love letters for a living," she said in an interview with Hobo Magazine in 2011.
Audrey Tautou
Ten years after Amelie, the talented and incredibly classy Tautou told The Telegraph that she wanted to quit acting to make time for her other passions: “I have several plan Bs: I want to become a sailor; I like to draw; I would love to learn many things, but I don’t have time…” As easily as we can picture Audrey drawing pictures on a sailboat, we've got our fingers crossed that she sticks around.
Angelina Jolie
Since becoming a mom, Jolie has slowed her acting career down, telling news sources that she was done working and only accepting such influential roles as "Tigress" in the Kung Fu Panda series. We've been waiting for another performance like the one she gave in Girl, Interrupted for the past 12 years, though, so she better get back on that horse.
