Kelly Clarkson's Having a Girl But That Won't Affect The Naming Decision

It's been a few months since Kelly Clarkson announced her pregnancy with her first child, and things seem to be progressing healthily. Of course, when you're pregnancy "healthily" can often mean profuse amounts of vomiting, but that's all par for the course, and now Clarkson's announced that her baby's a girl.

Clarkson's been predicting she was having a girl since a few months ago when there was really no scientific evidence to back it up, tweeting "I'm totally gonna have a girl. I'm manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you're gonna be like, 'That chick knew it!'."

But hey, it looks like she's getting her wish, because it seems like that chick did indeed know it; as she tweeted Monday morning, "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"

Of course, as she told Ellen DeGeneres a little while ago, the baby's sex will not make much of a difference in the naming process, as the name they picked out works any which way:

And it doesn’t even matter [what the baby's sex is] because, honestly, the name we’ve picked, if it’s a boy or a girl, it’s the same name. [...]

You won’t guess it. It’s a random name. But it’s not like … ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name.

It's actually a pretty sweet idea to make use of unisex names, if only to save your child from one tiny slice of the gender binary.
