Kara's Enemies Are Stacking Up On 'Supergirl'

Hold on just a minute. I know Monday's Supergirl was a turning and emotional moment for Hank Henshaw/J'onn J'onzz, even if he's still not "out" to the DEO as a Green Martian, but can we talk about the threat made at the end of the episode? The White Martians are coming to Earth on Supergirl, which is major Bad News Bears for everybody involved.

The White Martians are the ones who slaughtered the Green Martians, including J'onn J'onzz's family, and it took a lot for Hank to not kill this invader on the spot. Instead, they took her to a glass cage in the DEO. However, since that one didn't hold Astra for very long, I think it's only a matter of time before the Martian escapes and contacts her people. She promised a full army, and Kara spat back at her to "let them come" — bad idea, if you ask me. Kara doesn't have an army. She doesn't have a Hulk, or a team of other superheroes — it's just her, J'onn J'onzz, and their human pals. How are they possibly going to deal with an actual alien invasion?

It may not happen for a while, but I'm going to keep this potential crisis in the back of my mind as Supergirl Season 1 progresses. Let's think about how many enemies Kara Danvers has accumulated at this point: her Aunt Astra, a whole prison full of alien convicts her mother convicted, Maxwell Lord, Winn's father, possibly Lucy Lane, and not to mention any of the weekly foes that got away. This could be a Hobbit situation, with multiple armies fighting all at once. J'onn J'onzz may have done the right thing, but we're definitely not done with the White Martians on Supergirl.
