7 'Full Frontal' Jokes That Tell Us What To Expect

by Michelle Lulic

Monday, February 8 marked the premiere of TBS' new comedic late night show, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee. And, in just the first episode of the half-hour show, it has already become clear of what we might expect from television's latest funny lady. From uncensored jokes to hilarious video montages, Samantha Bee has an opinion about all things that are going on politically, and she is laying it all out on the table. Seriously, there's a good reason as to why her show has been given the title, Full Frontal, and these Samantha Bee jokes set the tone for the rest of the series.

But, before we tune in for next Monday's episode, Samantha Bee fans know exactly what they're tuning in for. How? Well, because of those high caliber jokes, of course. From attacks on both the Democratic and Republican candidates, to blatantly stating what everyone is secretly thinking, and even bringing news that may have been pushed to the side to the forefront, Bee is ready to rumble. And I still can't get some of her greatest zingers out of my head. Seriously, here are just some of jokes from the Full Frontal With Samantha Bee premiere episode that have me making sure this one is in my DVR.

1. Her Response To Women In Late Night: "We're All Witches!"

The show started off by addressing the obvious: Everyone talking about a woman taking on political late night. Her response to it all? Samantha not only staged a hilarious press conference that reflected the media attention she has been getting, but she also wasn't afraid to take a stab back by making the naysayers seem all the more ridiculous. With a joke about all women being witches and a cut to a satanic ritual, she's calling out all kinds of crazy, meaning that we can expect tons more when it comes to responses on how women on treated. All the yes!

2. Her Response To Hilary Clinton: "Oh, F*ck Off!"

Yes, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee gives a very feminine perspective on politics. However, that doesn't mean that Samantha is going to avoid certain topics. With a dig at Hilary Clinton when confronted with Clinton's mere "shock" of standing on the Presidential stage, viewers can expect Samantha to be upfront about everything.

3. Ted Cruz Has "Cancer Of The Personality"

When Samantha Bee has a strong opinion about one political figure in particular, she does not hold back! In fact, it couldn't have been made any clearer as to how she feels about Republican candidate Ted Cruz. So, basically, while she may shine the light on both sides of the political spectrum, that doesn't mean that she's going to sit back and remain opinion-less.

4. "We're All Sluts"

With all of the political focus being on the Democratic and Republican Presidential candidates, Samantha Bee wants to make sure that other — already elected — political officials aren't going to have their actions go unnoticed with her "Elected Paperweight of The Month" segment. And, boy, if you're chosen for this segment prepare yourself for a highlight reel of some of your not-so-great moments — especially if it may seem like an attack on women. Moving forward in Full Frontal, I definitely see Samantha shedding light on the matters flying under the radar — and it is bound to be full of hilarious and witty sarcasm all from the inners of the female mind.

5. She Literally Brought Out A Noose

When Samantha approaches what she believes to be a "banquet of crazy," there is no holding back. And if you think the noose joke may have gone a little too far? Well, it seems like that's just Samantha being Samantha! Seriously, you may need a level of not letting anything surprise you when tuning in.

6. Calling Donald Trump A "Sentient Caps Lock Button"

Yes, the media has had a lot to work with regarding the mess-ups and feuding going on during the Republican debates. But, somehow, Samantha Bee manages to still find a new perspective on all of it. If there's a joke outside of the obvious that hasn't been addressed yet, Sam B has got it handled.

7. The Jeb Bush Campaign Documentary

If this show knows how to do anything, it knows how to pull on the heartstrings of the American people — with some blatant restructuring of an already existing, somewhat comedic, situation. The show's documentary-styled, journalistic approach not only shed light on the realities of Jeb Bush's weakened campaign, but it also proved that sympathy can sometimes be the greatest low-key comedy. I'm thinking we can expect more in-depth perspectives moving forward, and I can't wait to see what topic they choose next.

And, odds are, the jokes will only get better in the next coming weeks (and the coverage of the 2016 election). Full Frontal With Samantha Bee airs on TBS on Mondays at 10:30 p.m. EST.
