Nicole Richie Misses Her Dad's Grammys Tribute

On Monday, Feb. 15, the 2016 Grammys took place in Los Angles and the show was more full of performances and tributes than speeches and award wins. One of the many performances honored Lionel Richie, and if you watched, it may have left you wondering where Lionel's daughter, Nicole Richie, was during the Grammys. Her dad was getting a big honor? Where was she?!

As fans of both the R&B singer and reality star know, the father and daughter are very close, so it's unlikely that any bad blood would have kept her away from the show. In fact, only six days ago, Nicole Instagrammed about a magazine photo shoot she and her dad recently did together. Plus, her brother-in-law, Good Charlotte member Benji Madden, tweeted a message of support for Lionel and tagged Nicole.

Since New York Fashion Week coincides with the Grammys, my first thought was that she would be there getting her fashion on, but it turns out she is said to be on tour with Good Charlotte along with her husband Joel Madden, his brother Benji, and Benji's wife Cameron Diaz. Quite the tour group!

Ya, see? There's no need to get it twisted! Nicole is just a little busy right now. Good Charlotte has a show in Dublin on the day after the Grammys, and it's currently in the middle of the night in Europe, so Nicole is probably just going to catch her dad's tribute and his amazing performance that came at the end of it by watching a bunch of Vines and YouTube vids when she gets a chance. No big deal!
