Pharrell Performed in Another Huge Hat

by Ivy Jacobson

The hat is BACK, people. After all of the attention at the Grammys quickly turned from music and Taylor Swift's headbanging to Pharrell's gigantic brown Arbys/Smokey the Bear-themed hat that has its own Twitter account, it made a second splash on Sunday. During his NBA All-Star Game performance, Pharrell donned the same hat in a new red shade and brought down the house with an energetic show. I must say, I do really love this hat. Sure, it's really big and bizarre, but Pharrell is awesome and can rock it like nobody's business.

The "Happy" singer kicked off his performance with his headgear, but was considerate and only wore it for a bit to let other people shine onstage. Pharrell sang a medley of songs with Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and Diddy, including "Hot in Herre," "Frontin," and "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)." Busta and Diddy also showed their love for Pharrell by participating in a choreographed dance to "Happy." We wonder what kind of hat Pharrell will wear for his performance of "Happy" at the Oscars (because you know he will obvs wear a hat).

Fans of Pharrell (and his new red hat) voiced their approval on Twitter:

But we all know that the only Twitter account that really matters is the hat's account:
