Report: Apple Starting iPhone Upgrade Program

by Rachel Krantz

Good news for upgrade addicts: according to Apple insiders, the company is planning to roll out a iPhone trade-in program this month. Apple has reportedly teamed up with a mobile phone distributor to run the system, which would allow customers to trade-in older phone models for cash, presumably in-store.

AT&T currently pays up to $200 for working iPhone4 and 4s models. But this is different because it's Apple! We're used to them making us beg for a new model with all those shortages, not making it easier for us to buy them. Maybe they're finally opening up emotionally, getting ready to commit?
