Baby on the Way for Jimmy Kimmel!

by Alicia Lutes

...and baby makes three! The recently married Jimmy Kimmel's wife, head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live Molly McNearney, is pregnant with Kimmel's child. Seems like new fatherhood is hot right now for late night hosts (no pressure, Seth Meyers) — you're not the only new dad on the street, Jimmy Fallon.

The babe-to-be — Jimmy's third: he has two others (son Kevin, 20, and daughter Katie, 22) from a previous marriage — was announced on The Ellen Show by papa Kimmel himself. The news comes several months after the couple's July 2013 nuptials. But if you think his previous experience bringing up babies 20 years ago has him confident on the toddler front: think again. "I've really forgotten everything," he explained. "It's funny because I was just with [friends John Krasinski and Emily Blunt], who just had a baby and I was like, 'Oh yeah. There's new ways to do things.'"

Kimmel's jokes kept coming — no surprise considering the host's penchant for playing pranks on little kids on his show — and even mocked good ole biology, too. "Did you know we have eggs inside of us?" Kimmel asked with faux-disgust. He also explained that "it is very weird at my age. I'm going to be one of those old dads."

As for how his elder kids are handling the new familial addition, it seems as though Kimmel's taking the rationing route with the other two. "I told my daughter, 'Listen, there's only so much love I have to give — you're going to have to split it up with the new kid. There's a finite amount of love and that’s that.' So they’re dealing with it," the comedian joked. Kimmel should really look at it this way, though: he might be an older dad but that kid's going to have some cool older siblings (what every kid always hopes for) — let them do the running around! They've earned the 'privilege' to take care of the soon-to-be Karate Kimmel.
