Amy Schumer Takes A "Psychopath Test"

by Caitlin Flynn

When "Amy Goes Deep" each week on Inside Amy Schumer, fans just never know what to expect. In the June 2 episode, her guest was Jon Ronson, author of The Psychopath Test. Naturally, the interview culminated in Amy Schumer taking the psychopath test herself and hilarity ensued. She introduced Ronson as the "Jane Goodall of psychopaths" and his resume is pretty chilling — he's met with everyone from serial killers to terrorists to the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Ronson's book has a psychopath checklist, so Amy was eager to take the test on the spot. She immediately answered yes to possessing "superficial charm," but Amy told Ronson that she doesn't have a grandiose sense of self-worth — which she finds surprising because, you know, she's so great.

She continued with the test answering all of Ronson's questions. She tells pathological lies "once in a blue" and would definitely describe herself as cunning and manipulative. Does she lash out? One of her employees was quick to answer that question for her. (Yep!) So, is she a psychopath? Ronson didn't provide an answer, but I think we can rest assured that the answer is no. Keep being your awesome self, Amy — quirky charm and all.
