Elie Saab's Fall 2014 Runway Was 50 Shades of Burgundy, Teal, and Black

Elie Saab may not have embraced all the colors of the rainbow in his Fall 2014 collection, but he sure gave his audience a kaleidoscope of shades featuring his palette of red, blue, and black. Starting with a caped ensemble in a deep burgundy shade, Saab made his way through lighter berry tones and ended on a smoky petal pink, followed by blackened florals and a dazzling array of teal. The pieces themselves conveyed an edgy, romantic feel, with a few choice sheaths and pantsuits fit for the office. However, it was the gowns that really stood out in Saab's collection, with drifting silk chiffon and floral fabrics creating looks that were equally theatrical and sophisticated. Though we didn't find a single weak link in the collection, here are our favorite looks from Saab's fall collection.

There are at least three fabrics at play in this triple-teal dress, but the pairing looks elegant and understated as opposed to overwhelming.

After seeing this dress waft down the runway, all we want is to find a bohemian chiffon maxi dress, pair it with a oversized necklace and saunter around like a Hollywood starlet.

This sequined showstopper is destined for the red carpet, from the plunging neckline to the deep ruby shade. The only question is, what Hollywood celeb will be lucky enough to take it for a spin?

Few shades look quite as warm and vivid as a true burgundy, and this dress has us pleasantly engulfed in the shade.

It doesn’t get much more dramatic than a deep crimson cape lined with fur, but Saab does drama so well with this beautiful ensemble.
