Katy Perry Vs. Miley Cyrus: Part 784

You know how sometimes you kiss an aquaintance in public and she doesn't really like it and then makes fun of you, also publicly, and then you fire back at her on social media, but are a little too harsh, and then she brings it up again, publicly again? No? That's doesn't ring a bell? Okay, good. That means you aren't caught up in preposterous drama like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. The latest update in this ongoing saga of tongues and insults is Katy Perry saying she'll give Miley Cyrus a spanking. She meant it in a silly way. A spanking isn't Katy Perry's way of seriously threatening someone; although that wouldn't be surprising either.

Now if you haven't been following this — first of all, go you! — there has been a ton of back and forth between these two ladies ever since Cyrus got too crazy with her kissin' back in February. Hopefully, Perry's comment will be the last in this string, so let's take a look at what happened and see if these ladies even know what's going on.

Perry was attending Cyrus' Bangerz tour and during her song "Adore You," Cyrus spotted Perry, leaned down for a kiss, and Perry was shocked when Cyrus tried to slip her some tongue. (As a warning to anyone planning to attend Cyrus' show, "Adore You" is her cue to start kissing fans.)

As you can see, she still likes Miley Cyrus, she just didn't want as intense of a kiss.

Perry was asked about the kiss when she appeared on an Australian talk show and said, "I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do…and then, she like, tried to move her head and go deeper, and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been! We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!”

Now, as I see it, Katy Perry handled this better than Cyrus in that she was just saying silly things and Cyrus crossed the line. But then I guess Cyrus tried to diffuse the situation with the drawing..? Anyway, that strange drawing is too little too late because Perry was just joking about how Cyrus sticks her tongue out all of the time, not saying that Cyrus literally has diseases, and Cyrus responded with a way harsh insult about Perry's ex-boyfriend. If I was Perry, instead of the spanking tweet, I would have had a good cry and deleted "Wrecking Ball" from my iTunes. It seems like Perry isn't taking it seriously, or at least at this point is forcing herself to seem like she isn't taking it seriously, while Cyrus was actually offended. At least briefly before she followed it with the drawing that will definitely become the cover of a creepy fan-fic story.

In conclusion, expect to see both of them hanging out all buddy buddy as if nothing happened in about a month.
