What's Your Personal Running Style?

For some of us, running is the best part of our day. For others, the art of putting one foot in front of the other isn’t second nature. Whether you’re a novice looking for tips for beginner runners or already have several marathon medals hanging in your room, we’re all sweaty and satisfied after logging a certain amount of miles on foot. And what’s there not to love? The health benefits of running include a healthier heart, stronger bones and joints, more powerful muscles, and even a sharper mind — and that’s just naming a few! Not to mention the fact that just the act of running can make you happier.

Of course, just because we all tie our shoelaces one sneaker at a time doesn’t mean we all run the same way. Everything from a runner’s pace, to their stride, to where they like to run and what music they prefer to listen to (or not listen to) helps define their unique running style. Yet in a way, we’re all collectively chasing that much-coveted runner’s high — whether you enthusiastically pound the pavement every morning at sunrise, or you can only bring yourself to lace up if there’s the promise of a big meal afterward. To better help you identify with your tribe of runners, we partnered with adidas PureBOOST X to help categorize your unique running personality. Because we all know how annoying it is to be called a “jogger!”
