Tom Hiddleston's Date At The Emmys Was Expected

After all the drama surrounding the beginning, middle, and end of Tom Hiddleston's relationship with Taylor Swift, people were interested to see who, if anyone, Tom Hiddleston would bring as his Emmys date. Would he even show up for the ceremony at all, or would all the media controversy prove to be too intimidating? Well, on Sunday night, the nominated actor did show up, and he brought his co-stars from The Night Manager along with him. Moments before the show started, Hiddleston dashed into the event with his fellow actors like Olivia Colman and Hugh Laurie.

It was a pretty expected, safe decision for Hiddleston to come with his cast, rather than risk bringing a woman and having her scrutinized for the night. Or, to come alone and have to field Taylor Swift questions all night long. I mean, to be fair, he didn't really arrive early enough to be asked anything at all, but I can't say I'm surprised about that either. Hiddleston seems to want to keep a low profile at the Emmys. And, if he wins? I expect he'll keep things low key (get it? Loki?) and will thank his co-stars, including his Emmys pals Colman and Laurie, but will leave his romantic life out of his speech.

And, if he plays his cards right, he could possibly leave the ceremony without having to talk about Swift at all.
