May Met Some Paranormal Activity On 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Can Melinda May see dead people? Ghost Rider arrived on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Season 4 premiere, and with him comes a whole new kind of definition of the supernatural. What happened to May on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ? If I didn't know better, I'd say she was possessed by a demon. Except that's pretty much Robby Reyes' whole deal, so maybe it isn't that crazy.

At the end of the episode, May was sent in to pull Coulson and Mack out of their mission. Part of that mission involved releasing a spirit from a box — which isn't even a typical day at the office for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Almost immediately, May glimpsed a shadowy figure walking past. Later, while taking a much-needed board game break with Phil, his face turned into something downright devilish in front of her eyes. Now, this could mean that Coulson is the one who's possessed, but something tells me that it is Melinda's turn to dance with the unexplainable.

Also, it seems clear that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to make a pretty clear leap over to Team Cap by the end of the season. All of the added bureaucratic hoops that the Sokovia Accords have granted them is really getting the team down. Even Melinda May feels "less than" with all of the added clearance and the fact that the team has been all but disbanded. All around, this wasn't her best week. At least she has her own strike team.

There are a lot of secrets buzzing around Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. these days, and for a secret organization, that's never a good move. A potentially possessed Agent May is definitely not going to make that better.
