#HappyBirthdayTwitter! The social media site Twitter turned 8 today (Did you know it had been around that long? I didn't.) The platform has changed so much over the last few years, morphing from a place where nobodies told us what they ate for breakfast to a place where celebrities tell us what they ate for breakfast. So what better way to celebrate than by giving celebrity tweeters a free promo? (As if they need it.) Some celebrities hate to tweet (like Daniel Radcliffe) but others get way into it. So if you're not following these 8 stars, you're not living. Or at the very least your Twitter feed is probably on the boring side. So liven it up with these stars and their hilarious 140 character messages. (If you are already following everyone on this list tweet me @marthasorren and I'll give you my virtual stamp of approval.)
1. ANNA KENDRICK
For obvious reasons, Kendrick is the best. She can sing, she's girl-in-your-improv-class hot and she is the funniest tweeter. For real. If she had a Robin Thicke-style hashtag it would be #sorelateable. Of the amazingness that is her profile I chose these three tweets as examples of why you need to follow her asap:
2. LORDE
This singer tweets like the 17 year old she is, and we love her for it. Nowhere to be found are the Gucci handbags or fancy cars you might find on other famous teens' profiles (*cough Jenner sisters cough*). Instead you get a lot of tweets about her being confused about sports and being grateful for all she has achieved.
3. ABIGAIL BRESLIN
Want to follow a celebrity who has just as much anxiety as a normal person? Follow Breslin who reads less like a teen sensation and more like a worried high school student who tweets about boys and donuts.
4. YOKO ONO
Her tweets are half self-help instructions and half poetry. Also they're really funny to read out loud when you're drunk. (Not that I've tried that or anything.)
5. EMMA WATSON
Three words: epic smack downs.
6. EVANNA LYNCH
Really loves Harry Potter and really loves cats. What more could you want?
7. EVAN RACHEL WOOD
She's best buds with all your favorite people (like Ellen Page) and she's also super into women's issues and equality issues and always takes the time to talk about things with her followers in a non-accusatory way.
8. HARRY STYLES
Wait, before you're all like, "But I hate One Direction!" You have to follow Harry because his tweets are unassuming and hilarious. Also a newspaper once told him he should use his Twitter platform to teach his followers about Greek history, so he did.
