11 'Divergent'-Inspired Pieces That Are Actually Super-Stylish
We know that Divergent is set in a dystopian world where fashion might not be as pivotal to the population as, say, survival. Nevertheless, costume designer Carlo Poggioli wasn't keen to stick to drab, dull ensembles for the film, instead combining utilitarian styles with a downtown edge for ensembles that could be worn as easily for a scuffle between factions as it could to a speakeasy in the Lower East Side. Considering that The Hunger Games provided little inspiration for wearable style unless Effie Trinket's blue lips and excessively voluminous ruffled ensembles are your thing, we're in the mood for a bit of filmic sartorial inspiration, and Divergent displays the perfect balance of casual and cool.
