Chrissy Teigen Shares A Moving Note About Hillary

by Kristie Rohwedder

A few hours before the first poll closed on Tuesday night, everyone’s dream best friend Chrissy Teigen uploaded a photo of Hillary Clinton onto Instagram and penned a supportive message for the candidate (because hey, what are dream best friends for?). While this show of social media love is not exactly surprising — time and time again, Teigen has been incredibly open about which presidential candidate will get her vote — it does not make it any less awesome. Teigen's Twitter account may be locked for the time being, but she continues to let us know what is up on Instagram, making it clear that this star is wholeheartedly #withher.

In the picture posted by Teigen on Tuesday, you can see a cap- and gown-wearing, keynote speech-delivering HRC at a Wellesley College commencement ceremony in 1992. The Lip Sync Battle co-host captioned the image with a moving note to Clinton, celebrating the candidate for being the dedicated and impactful political leader that she has been for decades, and will certainly continue to be if she's elected as president.

“Today,” wrote Teigen. “All these days of tireless public service have led up to this day. I am so proud to have you represent our party and so proud to move this country forward. Forward forward forward.” Could not agree with you more, Teigs. I don't know about you, but when I look at this picture, I can't help but sing, "I just can't wait for Hillz to be prez" to the tune of Lion King jam "I Just Can't Wait To Be King."

Though we do not yet know how Tuesday night's election will play out (hey, as much as I wish I had a crystal ball and knew how to use said crystal ball, neither is the case) there is one thing we can count on: if Clinton is elected, we will keep moving forward. And just like Teigen, I could not be more proud.
