The Prettiest Dresses From The Hot Pink Party

by Mary Avant

Say what you want and think what you will about the sometimes-frivolous life and perks that come with being a celebrity — Private-jet flights around the world! Fabulous, one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories, and gifts from luxury designers! Zoos rented out just for their kid’s birthday party! — but there are many stars who use their famous face and undeniable power for good rather than just folly. Take Angelina Jolie, for example, who works with nearly 30 charitable organizations around the globe (according to The Daily Beast), or even Taylor Swift, who was named the most charitable celebrity of 2012 and 2013 by DoSomething.org.

And last night at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s annual Hot Pink Party, a handful of stars gathered in New York to raise money and show their support for the fight against breast cancer. Naturally, they were dressed to the nines (and in shades of pink, to boot), making their appearance not only charitable, but also delightfully spring-y and fashionable.

Emcee Elizabeth Hurley stole the spotlight in her gorgeous, bubblegum-pink Versace gown. Such a sweet shade could have easily felt too saccharine, but the flowing, chiffon number's halter neckline, wrapped waist, and draped skirt made the British star look both stunning and statuesque.

Actress Katrina Bowden opted for a glam gown, too, choosing a scoop-neck, column gown that was embellished with tiny floral appliqués from head to toe. Styling her two-tone dress with soft waves, simple drop earrings, and natural makeup, the 30 Rock star looked beautiful, not gaudy.

Opting for an outfit that was a bit more laid back, singer Sara Bareilles hit the stage and the red carpet in a gorgeously casual J. Mendel frock that featured a pastel-pink wrap skirt and a long-sleeved, lace bodice. Keeping the ensemble spring ready and party appropriate, the songstress completed her look with metallic pumps, an embellished clutch, and fuss-free, flowing tresses.

Always the out-of-the-box fashionista, actress Hailee Steinfeld left her all-pink look at home, choosing instead to rock a black and white, velvet Erdem number whose mod silhouette got a little extra kick from some off-the-shoulder detailing. Adding a few pops of pink with her manicure, satin clutch, and pretty pout, the starlet was a style standout on the predominantly pink red carpet.
