Pratt Predicts The Future

by Christine DiStasio

Chris Pratt is good at a lot of things — shining shoes, guarding the galaxy, and apparently being a hair-braiding master. But who knew that among those talents, Pratt could also predict the future? It was announced Wednesday morning that a Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie is happening and I'm sure your '90s-loving heart was all aflutter at the news that the popular series was getting a reboot. And guess what, Pratt knew that was happening before you did. During Parks and Recreation 's epic season finale, Pratt's character Andy Dwyer called for the return of Power Rangers — so the actor's basically become the IRL version of Game of Thrones Jojen Reed.

In case you're confused as to who Jojen Reed is (it's okay, there are a lot of Game of Thrones characters) — he's the boy the was traveling with Bran up until Sunday night's episode, who can see the future. So how are we making the connection between him and Pratt? Because it's blatantly obvious that, even though he doesn't realize he's doing it, Pratt is the a modern-day, pop culture soothsayer. And there's video evidence to prove it.

During the Parks and Rec finale, Pratt's Andy said to Leslie Knope's new boss, "Also, can you bring back Power Rangers? I don't know what it is you do, but you seem important enough to get that done." Now, I know it was Andy and not technically Pratt that said this but, behold, two weeks later, we've got an announcement that Power Rangers is making it's return. That can't be a coincidence, right?

But it gets even crazier. Apparently, way back when Parks Season 2 came out on DVD, Pratt predicted his involvement in the upcoming Jurassic Park 4 in a DVD special feature. Watch it here:

Are you effing kidding me? And Pratt didn't even realize that he did it. Following the Power Rangers/Parks and Rec connection, a fan pointed out to the actor that he actually predicted his own future on Wednesday and the Guardians of the Galaxy actor had an epic response:

And:

He's just as amazed with himself as we are. So, now only one question remains, Chris Pratt...

Please, please let it be a Friday Night Lights reunion. PLEASE.
