She's Baaa-aaack on Broadway!

by Caitlyn Callegari

Hallelujah! Glee's Kristin Chenoweth is returning to the Great White Way and we are so freakin' excited. No, it's not for a return as the lovable mean girl Glinda in Wicked (although that would be the greatest thing to happen ever), but this is still good news nonetheless. The play is a revival of On The Twentieth Century, and appears to be a solid choice by the tiny blonde songstress, considering the show garnered three Tony awards it's first time in town. On The Twentieth Century is to be directed by Scott Ellis, with Peter Gallagher starring opposite Chenoweth in the production.

The show is an ironic choice for Chenoweth, considering it's plot. The story centers around a Hollywood actress, Lily Garland, whose former lover trying to coax her to come back to Broadway to star in his new (made up) show on a train trip from Chicago to New York City. So we're kind of imagining a Speed-like production, and we're totally into it. Kidding aside, we can not wait to see this Hollywood actress also make her return to Broadway, no matter the reason. The play is set to start performances on February 12, 2015 at the American Airlines Theater.
