'Game of Thrones' Gets Hilariously Disneyfied

by Mallory Schlossberg

Perhaps it all started with someone referring to the place where Game of Thrones takes place as The Wonderful World of Westeros. Maybe that conjured up some wonderful, magical kingdom; a kingdom where people live happily ever after instead totally beheaded after. You know, Disney! And with Game of Thrones' increasing popularity in the mash-up field, it shouldn't be too surprising that we now can see Game of Thrones characters drawn as Disney characters. Jon Snow is totally one jump ahead of the bread line with that Aladdin-esque forehead. Consider Ghost his Abu.

This series of images, drawn by Fernando Mendonça and Anderson Mahanski, is a little different from a previously seen set of Game of Thrones/Disney images, which depicted known Disney princesses as female characters from Game of Thrones . This series depicts characters as though they were drawn by The House of Mouse for a 1990's animated musical wonder scored by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. And the drawings are pretty spot on. You'll definitely find yourself thinking, "Oh man. If Disney drew GoT, it would totally look like that. Cersei would totally be an Evil Queen with an amazing song." (Song not included, but feel free to improvise one on your own.)

Check out a few of them below, and you can see the rest of the images on the artists' Facebook page. Enjoy!
