The Knowles Sisters Are Human After All

Props to her for being an awesome person and great parent. Today, Solange Knowles canceled the Europe leg of her tour, saying, "I wish I could put in words how much of a difficult decision this was, but between moving part time to a new city, starting my son in a new school, and writing/recording my new record ... I really had to make the best decision for my mental/physical health and provide some stability for my family."

And here we were, thinking that all Knowles girls were superhuman after Beyonce's overwrought apology for canceling a single concert due to exhaustion and dehydration. Because like, how unreasonable is she, for daring to have ailments sometimes.

But anyway, we have to give Solange some credit. Yes, it's super disappointing that a whole bunch of Europeans won't be able to see her, but on the other hand, how often do we get to see celebrities wholeheartedly put their family and personal well-being before their career? Not that often. Moving is hard, for adults and especially children, so as sad as we are that there is less Solange to go around, this is pretty much the most reasonable management of time we've ever seen a celebrity have. Also, we can breathe a small sigh of — both Knowles sisters are not in fact automatons sent to take over the world ... that's just Beyonce.

I also really appreciate that she didn't over apologize for making the same decision a normal person would make. She was sorry, she's sad not to be going to those cities, but it wouldn't have been the right decision for her right now, so it's not happening, done. Wow!

Blue Ivy might be hip hop and pop royalty, but personally, I think I'd rather be Solange's 8-year-old son Daniel Julez. He has a really dedicated mom, who also happens to be a seriously badass bitch. What more could you ask for?
