Shia LaBeouf Celebrates America With Baseball

by Emma Goddard

After a fairly rough year for Shia LaBeouf, including many a bar fight and a recent arrest after disrupting a performance of Cabaret, things may finally be looking up for the actor since his rep first claimed he was looking for treatment for his alcohol addiction. Likewise, it looks like the Transformers star has taken some time for himself to relax. Most recently, individuals witnessed LaBeouf playing baseball in Los Angeles, Calif. with some of his friends, likely celebrating his Fourth of July weekend.

In what seems to be his signature looks of dark skinny jeans, boots and a tee, the actor actually looked well kempt compared to usual. It’s possible that he’s really trying to clean up not only his act but his appearance to match it.

Rather than getting into a fight over the game, like he once did over a student’s baseball cap at a pub, it appears that the actor experienced a somewhat stress-free weekend. If playing a sport with some buddies is the best way for LaBeouf to get his mind off of things and to help calm himself, then we’re definitely all for it. Maybe he’ll even keep this up and use baseball as another way to help cope with his problems.

Despite the crazy things he’s done over the years, we can’t help but wish the best for the guy who stole our hearts as the goofy kid, Louis, from Even Stevens, and even as the comical Sam Witwicky from Transformers.
