Christian Grey Just Joined Instagram

Ladies, you have a new fella to follow on Instagram. On Monday, Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan joined Instagram, and, simultaneously, 2014. Welcome, Mr. Dornan. It's a pleasure to have you. Thus far, Dornan has only posted one photo — a selfie, natch — and I've gotta say, 'twas kinda worth the wait. I'm guessing that Dornan didn't join Instagram on his own volition, being that has a Twitter account and tweets approximately once every other month, but instead was asked by Anastasia Steele or E.L. James, or maybe even D.L. Hughley, in order to drum up some publicity for the highly-anticipated (in some circles) film. Being that he already has over 100,000 followers, seems like it wasn't a half-bad idea.

I'm assuming that Dornan isn't going to be one of those people who posts 297 times a day to Instagram (see Twitter comment above), but I also hope that he isn't one of those people who never posts. I mean, what's the point of having a 'gram if you never use it? And I'm also assuming that when the actor does post, it'll be worth a like. Like I said, his first selfie is pretty dang adorable. He's got the scruff going (swoon); the cheeky sign he's holding up; and the lack of a caption gives him a little mystique. Hey, look at that — in his first post, he's achieved the selfie trifecta. Well-done.
