10 Easy Kitchen DIYs That Are Actually Worth Doing (And Won't Cost You a Fortune)

I think we can all agree that DIY projects are the best, except when they’re not. Then they’re really the worst. You know how it goes. You see something cute on Pinterest, spend 40 bucks purchasing supplies (wait, an electric drill is necessary?!), only to end up with a project seven hours later that looks like you picked it up from an after-school craft class for six year olds. Not cool, Pinterest. Not cool. Luckily, there are some DIY projects out there on the world wide web that won’t burn a hole in your pocket or your self-respect. Paper mâché, stretch canvases, and power tools aside, here are 10 awesomely easy kitchen-themed projects that will brighten up your cooking area and add some spice (pun intended).

Each of these DIY projects only requires the use of a few materials. Also helpful, you probably have most of them lying around in your kitchen already. From hanging vases to typewriter key magnets, try out these home projects next time you’re feeling crafty. Not everyone can be a Martha Stewart, but everyone can pull out the glue gun from time to time and make something cool. (Just don’t go too crazy and turn into one of those irritating Pinterest posters… you know the type.)
