She's Winning The Red Carpet This Month

by Rosie Narasaki

Have you taken a peek at Elizabeth Banks' style lately? She doesn't have any major projects to actively promote right now, plus she's been busy with her directorial debut (hello, Pitch Perfect 2), so we haven't seen a whole lot of her this summer. But as we creep into fall, it seems like Elizabeth Banks been making more and more appearances — and each has been more fabulous than the last (well, with one misstep, but it happens to the best of us).

After a long summer, we got our first appearance from Banks at TIFF, where she wore a loudly-printed suit. Next, she hit up Extra! in some truly fabulous Alexander McQueen (electric blue with huge flowers — need I say more?), and most recently, she walked the red carpet for LA's Promise Gala in what might just be the prettiest Roland Mouret dresses ever (paired with holographic Sophia Webster pumps for good measure).

At the rate she's going at, I can't wait to see how she handles the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay press tour next month — after all, if these recent outings and her Hunger Games and Catching Fire red carpet runway-walking are any indication, she's gonna knock this one out of the park.

Let's take a look at her recent stylings:

Remember how I said there was one misstep? This is it. It's mostly okay, but that tie belt thing is just way too distracting.

But she totally redeemed herself, right?

No one does a fashion-y sheath dress better than Ms. Banks here. Side note: I might just be willing to murder someone for those holographic stilettos.

Here's to Mockingjay, eh?
