Best and Worst Celebrity Halloween Costumes, From Heidi Klum's Masterpieces To Vague, Uninspired "Sexy" Things
Not everybody can be Heidi Klum. The German supermodel, who hosts her own annual Halloween parties, is always the one to look to for best costume come October. I tried to pare down her pics, but still ended up including her four times. Four? Yes — her costumes really are that good. And for most of them, you can't even really tell it's her.
Since Klum has set the bar for what I like to see from celebrities, I hold them all to a much higher standard. Celebs don't need to be thrifty, so I expect them to go all-out. Here are the best and worst celebrity Halloween costumes in recent years. Let's see how they did.
BEST: Heidi Klum
This is Heidi Klum, guys. Heidi freakin’ Klum. Be prepared to see a lot more amazing transformations by the hostess with the mostess. She always steals the show on Halloween.
WORST: Perez Hilton
Vampire Miley Cyrus? Why? Just… why?
BEST: Jay Manuel
Dayum. Get it, Jay. I still don’t understand why you’re not on America’s Next Top Model anymore…
WORST: Kim Kardashian
I would say at least she tried, but there was obviously no creativity in this Red Riding Hood costume. She’s even cozying up to the wolf. What?
BEST: Heidi Klum
The only thing I don’t understand is why Klum wasn’t casted in the latest Transformers movie. They would’ve saved so much money on CGI!
BEST & WORST: Bethenny Frankel
Kudos for doing Marilyn well, and not going for the overdone The Seven Year Itch version. That being said, it’s still Marilyn, which is such an obvious default.
WORST: Pink
This sad clown is just that: sad.
BEST: Michelle Trachtenberg
Trachtenberg nailed Tim Burton’s Blue Girl. Heidi would be proud.
WORST: Doutzen Kroes
Cat woman. Yawn.

Klum stirred up some controversy dressing as Hindu goddess Kali, but at least she didn’t slack in her interpretation.

Dobrev looks super cute as Willy Wonka. The green gloves are a nice touch.

I get and applaud that she’s supporting a cause. But for crying out loud, she was in the movie Halloween! I know she can do better than this.

Now I get why the lion was cowardly. This is scary-bad.

Lovato took a page from Klum’s handbook with this one. Creepy in all the right ways.
