With every single story I read about them, I just fall more and more in love with the Jolie-Pitt family. I mean, apart from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's romantic, adorable, picturesque wedding, the couple just seems very focused on raising their children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne — to be very down-to-earth, socially and politically aware people. It's admirable, especially in the world of celebs and Hollywood. And this story? No exception to that. In a new interview with DuJour magazine to promote her upcoming directorial effort Unbroken, Angelina Jolie revealed Maddox Jolie-Pitt is actually working as a production assistant on her upcoming film with Pitt, By the Sea, making the film truly a family affair.
"It's so weird," Jolie commented to the magazine of Maddox working on the film, which was also written and directed by her.
Production assistants, for the record, are generally tasked with completing a variety of projects that support the cast and crew, from getting coffee to working and supporting individual stars during production. It's generally not considered the most glamorous job, but it's still adorable to see how close-knit this family is, even in their careers.
So, could this indicate that Maddox is making an effort to break into showbusiness in a behind-the-scenes sort of fashion? Considering Maddox is 13, it might be a little too early to tell something like that — but, if this is the case, working on an Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt film is certainly a good start for any career, whether they happen to be your parents or not.
