That Song in the Netflix Ad Stuck In Your Head?

by Kristie Rohwedder

Itchin' to find out who's the artist behind that Sleigh Bells-y track that plays throughout that new Netflix commercial? (Allow me to clarify: I'm talking about the TV show/movie clip-heavy ad, not the airport account password ad.) You and me both, pal. Fortunately for both of us, we can stop our itchin' right this very moment, for there is an answer! And I have said answer! The song in that Netflix ad is “Dracula” by Bea Miller. The track can be found on the 15-year-old singer-songwriter/actress’s debut album Young Blood. No, that isn’t a typo. The former X Factor contestant is 15 years young.

After I Shazam'd the commercial, I zipped on over to the Beatrice Miller Wiki, aka the Enclyclobeadia to find out more info about Miller. Um, hold up. “Encyclobeadia” is just terrific. Well done, whoever brainstormed that one. [Stands up out of chair and applauds.]

Wait. I’m getting sidetracked. Here are two noteworthy things I learned via Miller’s Wiki:

  1. Her comfort food of choice is packets of powdered cheese.
  2. She’s a fan of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

She may be young, but she is wise. Here's a video of Miller playing the song for something called the Disney Playlist Sessions:

I was totally that cool at age 15. Tooootally that cool. (OK, OK. I was totally not that cool.)
