Mariah And LeAnn May Have Taken Sexy Too Far

by Sienna Fantozzi

Is this really in the spirit of Christmas? Mariah Carey and LeAnn Rimes performed at Wednesday night's 82nd annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in New York City, and both of their ensembles left little to the imagination, if you catch my drift.

Both Rimes and Carey took to the stage to perform Christmas songs, but their vocals won't be the only thing everyone walked away talking about. Mariah wore a red, plunging gown with some major cleavage popping out to perform her hit song, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," and though she got the color right, I don't think any of us needed reminding of what's underneath that gown. We know, you're genetically gifted, but this is a family affair, so cover-up, yeah?

Rimes, on the other hand, seemed to be confused as to what holiday we're celebrating. The 32-year-old hit the stage wearing an oversized green coat (okay, that is a Christmas color), but during the song opened the coat to reveal a black corset dress with a thigh-high slit and garter tights. Like, who is she trying to impress here, because this is a family event, and the 'sexy witch' look doesn't fly.

Given the nature of the event, these two probably should have dressed a bit more conservatively. I mean, it's New York City in December — baby, it's cold outside!
