All The Weird Hair At Milan Fashion

by Candace Bryan

I would love to tell you that the clothes at Milan Fashion Week have been awesome, and maybe they have been. However, I've been far too distracted by all the weirdness on the models' heads to even notice the actual clothes on the runway.

Although London Fashion Week gave us some inspiration we can actually use, the styles at Milan have ranged from unattainable to straight-up undesirable. In an apparent attempt to stand out during the last half of Fashion Month, designers have gotten a little crazy. Below are some of the most unsavory looks.

1. Emporio Armani: I don't even know what's going on with this, but I actually kind of like it. It reminds me of old ladies I frequently see at the grocery store. But am I ever going to try the "I forgot to finish my hair" look myself? Probably not.

2. Just Cavalli: Kind of looks like a crusty comb-over.

3. Max Mara: What's weirder, the flat platinum mane, or the babushka-inspired head piece? It's a tough call.

4. Antonio Marras: Nothing complements an intense gelled middle part like netting and plastic butterflies. We get the desire to add a little nature flourish to spring fashion, but this poor model is struggling to keep that thing on her head.

That's a whole lot of ugly, so let's end on a positive note. This look from Alberta Ferretti is just simple and lovely.
