'KUWTK' Needs Another Spinoff this Year

by Kayla Hawkins

Now that Sunday, Jan. 4 has arrived to mark the end of Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons , it's time to look forward to the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. But with so many family members, KUWTK always feels overstuffed with subplots and details from other shows. So are there any other Kardashian spinoffs in the works? Come on — of course there are! I swear, a day isn't allowed to go by where the E! Network doesn't play at least one new Kardashian-themed episode, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, and the Sex and the City series finale. Immediately next up should be the DASH staff spinoff, Dash Dolls , which will follow the staff of the clothing store as they transfer the New York location out to the Hamptons.

Dash Dolls sounds a lot like a show from another side of the NBC Universal empire — Bravo's Vanderpump Rules. And just like Vanderpump, it will probably be really, really stupid and really, really weirdly watchable. The only problem is, relationship drama makes up about 90-95 percent of Vanderpump Rules, so Dash may need to hire some employees with romantic history or seem interested in each other. Or they could just fill the cast with Lord Disick's exes. Another pro tip from the Vandercast, DASH ladies, the truth will always come out. Anyway, the news about Dash Dolls broke early this spring, at the same time Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons was greenlit, but we've yet to see anything like a cast or trailer from the latest spinoff.

While we're waiting for Dash Dolls to make its way onto our televisions (and, presumably, our hearts), there should be more upcoming Kardashian television activity. E! supposedly wanted Kendall Jenner to be the star of the next Kardashian spinoff, according to HollywoodLife, but she turned them down because it might negatively impact her burgeoning modeling career. For example, it's probably harder to get Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez to take whirlwind trips to Dubai if you're dragging a camera crew into every cramped little club VIP room and hotel elevator.

And Kendall doesn't really need her own show, she's already going to be in Vogue. Anna Wintour seems strangely charmed by the Kardashian family, but I doubt she's willing to have the shoot hijacked by TV cameras. Still, don't shed any tears over what could have been with Kendall & Every Victoria's Secret Angel Take the World. It doesn't even matter what spinoffs E! comes up with, you know we'll all end up watching them all anyway.
