Dunkin Donuts Pizza Bagels!

New Years season always makes people and companies want to switch things up. Dunkin Donuts, the donut provider of my youth (I never understood the Krispy Kreme obsession) is no different. In early 2015, Dunkin Donuts pizza bagels — er, I mean, Tomato Mozzarella Supreme Bagels, will be hitting the menu, along with Chocolate Croissants.

I wonder if the tomato mozzarella bagels will be as much as a mouthful to eat as they are to say. I also wonder why Dunkin Donuts is calling chocolate croissants by their rightful name but not doing so with what is obviously a pizza-flavored bagel. They’re plain bagels topped with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and herbs that will be served warm = pizza bagels. As Thrillist pointed out, pizza bagels are pretty much pizza you can eat 24/7 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (also brunch and midnight snack, if we're being honest), so the association would only work in Dunkin Donuts' favor.

Either way, no matter what they’re called, keep an eye out for these treats in early 2015, especially since the Tomato Mozzarella Supreme Bagels (seriously, that’s a mouthful) will only be available in select stores. The reasonably named Chocolate Croissants, on the other hand, will be available nationwide. Both have a suggested retail price $1.79. Get ‘em while they’re hot, where you can.
