Madison Montgomery Would Approve of This Outfit

by Erin Mayer

I've recently begun paying a lot more attention to Emma Roberts. I haven't seen her in many film or television roles, but I've been hooked on her personal style ever since she released a to-die-for "Guest Bartender" collection on BaubleBar this fall. I'm especially into the all-black ensemble Emma Roberts wore to combat the Los Angeles heat this week, as pointed out by Refinery29.

While those of us on the East Coast shivered in our layers (I wore two scarves yesterday, people. Two!), L.A. was experiencing a hot-weather streak, with temps climbing up to 84 degrees. Emma Roberts decided to make some heat of her own in a black babydoll dress (don't worry, it's sheer), ankle booties, and a silver-studded wide brimmed hat. Pale pink oversized sunnies and a heart pendant served to lighten up the outfit a touch. Roberts' American Horror Story: Coven character Madison Montgomery would definitely approve of this look.

Robert's witchy vibes surely stood out against the sunny California backdrop. As a native New Yorker, wearing head-to-toe black comes pretty naturally to me, so it's no surprise that I am all over this ensemble. According to Refinery 29, the dress is by Elkin and costs $215, so it's not as if dressing exactly like the actress is totally out of the question. I'm loving this stars-dressing-like-real-people trend and sincerely hope it continues.

It's like Coachella meets The Craft!
