An Accessory... For Your Pet's Butthole

If 2014 was the year of butt stuff (a la Kim Kardashian’s wildly successful attempt at breaking the Internet with her cover for Paper magazine), then surely 2015 will be the year of pet butthole accessories. Wait...what? Based out of Portland, Oregon (of course) and sold online through Etsy, a company called Rear Gear promises “No more Mr. Brown Eye,” because if there’s one thing you’re sick of, it’s having to look at dog anuses all day. This was clearly a problem that needed to be solved.

“Is your pet feeling left in the dirt because of his/her unsightly rear?” asks the product description. “Rear Gear is handmade in Portland, OR and offers a cheerful solution to be-rid your favorite pet’s un-manicured back side.” As Daily Dot notes, the stickers have been available since 2009, and come in shapes such as cupcakes, hearts, and disco balls. Simply hang the butt sticker from your pet’s tail, advises Daily Dot, “and you can totally pretend that it's not a living, pooping animal.” But wait! There’s more. Rear Gear adds that if no design you see fits the needs of your preferred aesthetic, “you can even make yours custom, so there’s a Rear Gear for everyone.” Take a look below:
