Isaac Mizrahi Adds Skin Care to His Empire

by Eliza Florendo

Just 27 years ago in 1987, young designer Isaac Mizrahi got the opportunity of a lifetime: He would be presenting his first collection at a trunk show held by Bergdorf Goodman. And in 1992, Chanel bought a stake in the company, and so began the Isaac Mizrahi journey. Fast forward twenty years, and he released his very first fragrance in 2012. And now? Isaac Mizrahi will launch his new color and skin-care line on Feb. 9, called TRUE Isaac Mizrahi in collaboration with Xcel Brands.

The collection will debut during his show on QVC, which airs twice a week on Monday at 10:00 PM and Friday at 1:00 PM, EST. Boasting eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, foundations, concealers, serums, and more, the line targets every facet of beauty and skin care. And what's more, TRUE Isaac Mizrahi was created by estheticians, making it the only cosmetics brand that combines spa quality and designer creativity, according to the press release.

The skin-care products all contain anti-oxidants, and the color cosmetics and face makeup are cruelty free. Hell yes to safe, clean, and enriching beautifying!

Mizrahi told WWD that color has always been his calling, saying,

“We’re not dipping a toe in the water, we’re jumping in the lake. And one of my goals as a designer has always been to get my customer to look in the mirror the right way. I don’t want her to buy this because it’s a big fantasy, but because she will look in the mirror and think she looks good.”

TRUE Isaac Mizrahi will be available online at IsaacMizrahi.com, and ranges from $10-$68.
