Now, before you start freaking out about what's going to happen to Sofia Vergara's character, Gloria, on Modern Family, I'll clarify — Vergara is not leaving Modern Family. But, TV's highest paid actress will be attached to another series that will make her paycheck even higher. According to Deadline, Vergara is attached to executive produce a new ABC comedy based on her own life, which is currently (possibly tentatively) titled Raising Mom.

Helmed by Emmy-award winning director Gail Mancuso, Raising Mom is said to be a half-hour, single camera comedy which will follow a young single mom and her 21-year-old son, "who discover that they have done a pretty good job of raising each other, only now they decide it might be time to gain some independence." It's based off of Vergara's own experiences raising her son, whom she had when she herself was only 21 years old. If you're anything like me, you immediately thought that the title resembled that of another comedy on television — Raising Hope — but that's probably because a writer from that series, Christine Zander, is on board to write

Gotta say, this sounds pretty promising! As it's still fairly early in development, there's no word yet on who will star — but expect to hear more about this show in the next few months.
