Hilary Duff & Aaron Carter Might Have Had A Chance At Reconciliation, But He Loves Twitter Too Much

It's the time of day for an important topic of discussion: Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter. Remember when Carter declared his love for Duff via Twitter, because he thought it'd be the perfect way to get his ex-girlfriend back? Most everyone started bashing him for it, because it came off super creepy, desperate, and amusing, all at once. Well, Duff is commenting on Carter's actions, again, and this time around it sounds like she would've been somewhat fine with him reconnecting, but he made one major faux pas.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Duff said,

Him reaching out through social media? It's ridiculous! But then people do it all the time, like Chris Brown and Karrueche? Come on, guys. Keep it between text messages.

So, she would've been cool with him reaching out if he would've messaged her privately? Now, I don't think Duff is saying it's OK for anyone to text someone and make them feel uncomfortable. Nor do I think the actress would want Carter to latch on or make her feel awkward, but I do think she's saying she would have rather chatted with him one-on-one instead of having it out there for the world to see and comment on. Can you blame her? Plus, if you're going to declare your love for someone, don't do it via social media. How tacky is that?

This isn't the first time Duff's chatted about Carter. In October 2014, while appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Duff said Carter made her feel "uncomfortable" with this tweets and declarations. Duh.

If Carter should take away anything from Duff's words of wisdom it's this: next time you want to try to win someone's heart, don't do it in front of the entire world. Oh, and don't be creepy about it.
