Chelsea Clinton Covers 'ELLE's May Issue, Plus Her Thoughts On Electing A Female President
With huge Hillary Clinton news (probably) dropping this Sunday, there’s no better time for ELLE to feature Chelsea Clinton on their cover. On the May issue, Clinton rocks a killer Gucci dress along with some Cartier bling, and she makes it hard to believe that she bore her first child, Charlotte, a mere six months ago. In addition to looking absolutely stunning, Chelsea opened up to ELLE about her thoughts on being a new mother and, of course, electing a female president.
If you weren't sure how Chelsea's life as a new mom is going, here's a good indication: Clinton described her daughter as, “the most remarkable little bubbly, perfect, chunky monkey creature ever.” So, yes, it sounds like she’s really loving motherhood. When she’s not busy taking care of her, “chunky monkey creature,” she’s been busy standing up for women’s rights (you know, no big) with her mom for the No Ceilings initiative.
Speaking of her mom, Hillary has definitely rubbed off on her daughter. Chelsea said to ELLE, “Since when did 20 percent become the definition of equality?” Preach it, Chels. She continued, “and one of our core values in this country is that we are the land of equal opportunity, but when equal hasn’t yet included gender, there is a fundamental challenge there that, I believe, having our first woman president — whenever that is — will help resolve.”
Be sure to pick up the May issue of ELLE to read the entire interview. It will also be available online on April 14.
