Birchbox & Mad Men Collaborate For A Beauty Box

Is there anything better than a Birchbox and Mad Men collaboration? The beauty subscription box and AMC show have teamed up to create special Mad Men-themed boxes that all monthly subscribers will get this month in celebration of the show’s final episodes.

The Birchbox Man box includes Don Draper essentials, like a pocket square, a face scrub and a fancy razor. Women can choose between two different boxes: a New York version if you want to channel the “sleek professionalism of Madison Avenue,” which includes glam products like brow gel, blush, hair oil, eye lotion and shaving cream, or the Los Angeles version, if you’re more into the “effortlessly chic vibe of 1960s Hollywood,” which includes an eau de parfum, a hair treatment, an illuminator, a lip pencil and a body wash.

It turns out Mad Men’s makeup artist Lana Horochowski used some of the products found in the Birchbox on just about every actress on the show, especially the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel. The limited-edition box will be automatically sent to regular subscribers, but if you are not a subscriber and still want the goods, you can buy it for $10 until April 24.

If you are unable to secure one of these boxes in time, you can still get the Mad Men look. Horochowski recommends playing up your eyebrows, adding falsies to your fringe, along with a lot of mascara, and applying bright lipstick in coral, pink or red, for a look that even Joan would love.
