Naomi Campbell x Yahoo Team Up For Video Series

by Eliza Florendo

I must have laughed for a century when Naomi Campbell said "Check your lipstick before you come talk to me," on an episode of The Face. She is entertainment gold, so it comes as no surprise that Naomi Campbell and Yahoo are teaming up for "I Am Naomi," a video series starring the legendary supermodel. Nobody can touch Campbell's extreme shade—and with her impressive lineup of runways walked, from Versace to Alaïa, and spreads in French and British Vogue, Interview, and Vanity Fair, all I have to say is it's about damn time she get her own show!

Campbell will both star in the new series as well as serve as the executive producer. The series will "give viewers a backstage pass as she spends time with the world’s most powerful and influential people," according to Fashionista. This digital show will follow the supermodel through numerous adventures, from meeting with friends to attending events. Perhaps it'll be the closest I'll get to hanging out with Naomi. Look, I'm not begging to, but I'm pretty close...

The series will available on Yahoo Screen, which is Yahoo's on-demand streaming service. While Yahoo Style has done shorter video series in the past, this is new and unique in that the episodes will have longer run times. Production is in its early stages, and details for when it will air are not yet available.

Joe Zee, Yahoo Style's editor-in-chief, told Fashionista, "...My favorite part about Naomi is that a lot of people don't know how hysterical she is, full of bites. You've seen her on TV before and she's always so funny and really engaging."

I think I speak for everyone when I say how excited I am to tune in to "I Am Naomi."
