Plus Size Models Go Nude In Icelandic 'Glamour'

by Jodie Layne

Don't you want to live in the kind of place where you can walk down a supermarket aisle to pick up your snacks and your pantry staples, while grabbing a magazine with some hot plus-size models within its pages? That land exists and it's Iceland, where ALDA models feature in Icelandic Glamour.

The plus-size babes Ashley Graham, Marquita Pring, Julie Henderson, Inga Eiriksdottir, and Danielle Redman totally owned an editorial that celebrated the groundbreaking work that the models have undertaken whilst putting their gorgeous nude selves inside the publication (well, their nude backsides, anyway). So yes, I would like a one-way ticket to the island nation, thanks.

The models told Icelandic Glamour not just about the hard work they put in to create the game-changing plus-size modeling agency, but about what's really important to them. Hint: It's not just landing jobs. "Even if it might sound strange since we [are models], which is a lot about the outside looks, we are more interested in building strong self esteem in women," said model and co-founder Inga Eiriksdottir. "In the last few years, we have organized various events that are about getting women together to do healthy things for the body and soul, while raising money for those in need and giving back."

Devoted to the hustle, gorgeous, and caring — that's how you go from model to role model.
