With a season as close as this one, the Dancing With The Stars winner was basically decided by the voters. So it was natural that DWTS fans on Twitter had a lot of feelings about Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy winning the golden Mirrorball trophy. Most of those feelings were gloriously positive. You never know with a reality show like this, whether the viewers are going to throw a fit over the winner or not. But this time around, most of them were really pleased.
Of course, there was some disappointment over fan-favorites Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway being eliminated. It's understandable that after a great season, their fans wanted them to win. But in general, the Dancing With the Stars finale vibe was pretty positive on social media — always a good (and rare) thing to see. Even those who were upset about Noah and Sharna kept things pretty classy, often praising all three contestants. "Amazing finale #DWTSfinale. Congratulations Rumor & Val, I have enjoyed your beautiful dances. Riker, I loved your energy & Noah [you're] my hero," one fan tweeted.
As for those tweeting about Rumer and Val's victory? Well it was all heart symbols and happy emojis for the winning couple.
