Celebrities—always fakin' like they're just like us. As we get ready to hibernate and settle into the winter and gorge ourselves on hot chocolate, soups, stews and peppermint Jo-Jos from Trader Joe's while marathoning "The West Wing" (what, did you have other plans?), we're mournfully again reminded of all those famous, thin ladies who just, like, totally pig out! Not sure why women in Hollywood feel the need to brag about not exercising—is it to make us, the commoners, feel better about also not exercising? Or just a case of classic humblebragging? Here are those annoying celebs talking about their carefree diet plans.
XOXO Chocolate Girl
Blake Lively recently admitted to Vogue that chocolate is a big part of her diet/ mood stabilization: "I can't start my day off without a mug of hot chocolate or finishing off the day with a few squares of dark chocolate... It keeps me feeling happy." We should all be so lucky! Although not sure how great starting a day with hot chocolate would be, unless it's intensely caffeinated.
J-Law Flips the Bird to Dieting
Jennifer Lawrence hates diets so much it makes her mad. In an interview earlier this year with Marie Claire, she talked about being pressured as a young girl to diet; and even when The Hunger Games debuted, some assholes said she didn't look "hungry enough." J-Law doesn't care anymore, though—though she used to be hurt by the biting comments, now she says "If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet,' I'm like, 'You can go f*ck yourself.'" Good for her—but even though she may be "overweight" by Hollywood standards (WTF?), she's still a mega-babe.
K-Stew Doesn't "Do" Diets
Besides emoting, dieting is another thing Kristen Stewart refuses to do. A few years ago she told Vogue Italia that her family was naturally thin, and she just inherited it. "I just can't gain weight!" I'm sure she complains.
OMG... I am so jealous that Giada de Laurentiis, who taught me how to make one of my favorite foods, Nutella wontons, doesn't have to watch her weight. Well, she has a really vague diet: "I eat a little bit of everything and not a lot of anything,” explains the Food Network chef, who says her weight is the number one thing her fans ask about." Cryptic, but I will listen to her cheese advice anyway.
Sofia Vergara Feels Our Pain
Sofia Vergara, the beautiful star of Modern Family and every ad campaign you've seen in the last six months, doesn't have to really watch what she eats, but she does have to work out. And she HATES it: "No. It’s my torture time. So of course I try to avoid it or make excuses every time. But I do try to do it at least three times a week if I’m not shooting." I seriously appreciate Vergara's candor, because I am so mystified by people who get highs from exercising. All I can think is, when is it over? Though she might not diet much and hates working out, Vergara is pretty admirable—she's a thyroid cancer survivor, and she keeps up with her exercising to maintain her health.
