Emmy Rossum Does Vampire Chic At The CFDAs

No matter which red carpet is being rolled out, Emmy Rossum always mixes class with unpretentious chic femininity. An underrated style icon, she never disappoints, and Emmy Rossum's dress at the CFDA Awards was, as expected, totally on point.

Rossum looked incredibly elegant, mixing chic with a touch of goth. Maybe she wanted to channel her Phantom days? She kept the look interesting instead of overdone with plenty of beautiful angular cutouts in the all black dress. Finishing it off with a simple, middle-parted "down-do" and hot smoky eye makeup, Rossum is totally a punky, vampire Hepburn.

It's quite a departure from what Rossum chose to wear last year, when she rocked a gorgeous lime green chartreuse tunic dress with V-cut black sheer floral details from designer J. Mendel. It was so goddess chic and perfect for summer, complementing Rossum’s fair skin perfectly. Also combining elegant with edgy, the actress went for wrap around ancient Greek-inspired braids, but if you look closely at her bangs, you’ll see hints of ‘90s style crimping.

Rossum is as hot as her Showtime series, Shameless, moving into its sixth season this year, and only continues to up her style game. Heck, what girl can go from fierce florals to a straight up car-shaped purse so seamlessly? I’m excited to keep an eye on Rossum as her style only gets better and better.
