The Man Repeller is never afraid to step out in a bright and bold style, and now that summer is here, she's taking even more fashion risks. Leandra Medine wore a pair of oversized pants with almost comically giant flare legs (I mean that in a great way) that sure made a statement, but the look can easily be toned down for us normals to rock on a daily basis.

The bright green pants sat on her waist and came down to just about her ankles, making them the stand-out piece in this outfit (the bigger the pants, the better, am I right?). She paired the over-the-top bottoms with a blue and white striped button up shirt that she tucked in for a more fitted look, then added thin black belt for a polished detail that makes this ensemble the perfect combination of print and color without being over the top.

Medine heightened the look even further with her colorful accessories, adding yet another summer color in the form of a coral flowered wedge with a clear strap and a matching tassel bracelet, and an armful of bangles. She pulled together the look flawlessly with these sweet little extras. Leave it to the Man Repeller to pull off yet another over-the-top look in such a down-to-earth way.

This larger than life look isn't for everyone, but an oversized pant can be toned down to work for even the non-bloggers among us. Opt for more subtle colors and a more fitted pant to recreate Medine's look in your own way.

Choose a more fitted flare leg pant

(Wide Leg Print Pant, Oasis, $73)

Add a simpler top

(Micro-Stripe Sleeveless Shirt, Old Navy, $16)

Finish with a brightly colored shoe

(Sondra Thong Sandal, Michael Kors, $99)

By toning down the look, this Medine-inspired outfit can fit in at any summer function.
