Get in, Lil' Duffsters: On Tuesday afternoon, Hilary Duff previewed a new song called "My Kind" via the popular Dubsmash app, and it'll get you amped for her forthcoming album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. These days, pop stars often share multiple snippets of tracks from their new albums before they're officially released in order to whet our appetites and give us a better idea of what to expect. Sometimes, they even put out promotional singles!

Not Duff.

No, the 27-year-old singer/actress has been frustratingly secretive about her fifth LP (her first in over eight years). I mean, it drops in seven days (Tuesday, June 16) and we still don't know much about its overall sound. Oh, and it's still not up for pre-order on iTunes! These things don't exactly inspire confidence in the project.

Fortunately, the "My Kind" preview has restored my faith in Breathe In. Breathe Out. (Well, as much as a 10-second preview can, anyway). It's a catchy and carefree dance-pop jam (a.k.a. the kind of music Duff does best), and it sounds like a lot of fun. That's all I'm really looking for from Duff's upcoming LP: a bunch of fun up-tempos I can sing along with loudly in my car. Happily, "My Kind" makes it seem as though she's going to deliver. What good news.

I'm pleased to say that I'm once again excited for Breathe In. Breathe Out. (I know you were probably very concerned.)
