There's no doubt that Oscar de la Renta has created some of the most beautiful fashion to ever grace a runway or a Hollywood red carpet. While the fashion house is probably most well known for the classic yet dramatic red carpet ready gowns, the house's bridal collection is nothing to overlook. Now, Oscar de la Renta creative director Peter Copping's first bride has been revealed, and she looks absolutely radiant in his design.
The late, great de la Renta himself has been responsible for some amazing wedding gowns, perhaps most notably that of Amal Clooney. Clooney's gorgeous gown was lacy perfection and featured a perfect floor length veil. Now, we're getting a look at Copping's bridal chops. His first bride, Haifa Snobar, is a public relations executive for the house's Middle Eastern division. Her stunning gown was definitely not an off the rack creation. The piece took over 1,500 hours to construct and was created by 30 people! The end result though was totally worth the effort!
Snobar's Copping created dream gown was a princess style design with a beautiful, flowing train that the bride reportedly wanted to flow freely. Hand crafted petals cover the taffeta and organza fabric give the gown a dramatic yet classic appearance. Of the design, Copping says, "I think it’s important for brides to feel comfortable in their dress, so we went for something delicate and light.” Though the dress may feel light, this gown is one heavy hitter when it comes to bridal fashion!
