This 'Harry Potter' Sequel Short Isn't Canon But At Least It'll Give Us Our Fix

Did you know that it's been a little over 12 years since the theatrical premiere of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone? Because I didn't, and now I feel old and sad and genuinely upset that my Hogwarts letter still hasn't come. Stupid lazy owls. Luckily for us, people like YouTuber Wren Weichman exists, because he does things like make short films set in the Wizarding World 15 years post-Deathly Hallows. It's called The OMEn Chronicles, and you can watch it below.

We'd be lying if we said we weren't a little bummed out when we saw all those headlines like "LOOK, MORE HARRY POTTER!" and then clicked through and saw that neither J.K. Rowling nor any of our favorite characters were involved, but hey, until Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them comes out we gotta take what we can get, right?

I'm still a little iffy on how on board with this whole thing I am — definitely on board with people making magical shorts with awesome adventures, but I'm a little bit more dubious when it comes to whether involving the Harry Potter universe in this case was strictly necessary for anything but a marketing perspective.

You can make up your mind for yourself by watching the video below (tell us what you think on twittah: @Bustle). And hey, it's at the very least pretty cool to see how they do the special effects.
